Eligibility:
> All films submitted to the Filmscar International Film Festival must be original and the sole work of the submitter(s).
> There are no set deadlines for the film completion. Films completed in any year are eligible for the submission.
> Short films must be no longer than 50 minutes, and feature films must be no less than than 50 minutes.
> All Non-English Films must have English subtitles.
> Films must be submitted only through Film Freeway.
Submission Fees:
> There is only one submission fee for all seven categories.
> If you withdraw your film before the notification date and provide the correct invoice copy to our e-mail ID, or if the film festival is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, 80% of your submission fee will be refunded.
Selection:
> A panel of judges will select the films based on artistic merit, originality, and technical achievement.
> The judges’ decisions are final.
Screening:
> The annual winning short and feature film, short and feature Indian films, short and feature documentary and short and feature Social Awareness films will be screened at the Filmscar International Film Festival Annual event in December.
> The filmmaker(s) of selected films will be invited to attend the festival.
> The festival reserves the right to screen the films and use promotional assets such as the film poster, teaser and trailer or any other promotional content.
> The annual event winners will be announced in the first week of December, with the winning film being screened. Filmmakers should provide 2K DCI output with 24 FPS. Complete information will be mailed to the winning filmmakers.
Terms & Conditions
> By submitting a film to the Filmscar International Film Festival, the submitter(s) agree to the following terms and conditions:
> The filmmaker(s) grant the festival a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to screen the film at the festival and to promote the film on the festival’s website and social media pages.
> The filmmaker(s) agree to provide the festival with a high-resolution copy of the film in a format specified by the festival.
> The filmmaker(s) agree to indemnify and hold harmless the festival from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising out of or in connection with the film, including any claims of copyright infringement or other intellectual property violations.
> The festival reserves the right to change the venue, rules and terms at any time.
Additional Notes:
Films must be submitted in a format that is compatible with Film Freeway.
Films must be submitted with all necessary permissions, including music licenses and clearances.
The festival reserves the right to disqualify any film that does not meet the eligibility requirements or that violates these rules and terms.
